The Promotion Setup program enables the creation of a Promotion for a period of time. During this time, items added to the list will obtain a discount according to the type chosen.

Header Area

Description -  The description of the promotion i.e. Summer Catalogue, December Specials, TV Specials, Newspaper January.

Start Date - When the start date is reached the promotion will start automatically.

End Date - When the end date is reached the promotion will end automatically.

Note: Start and End dates are inclusive.

Grid Area

When a Parts Invoice is processed, the prices in the Promotion File will automatically be reflected as long as it fall within the dates specified.

Promotion details on parts will be shown in the Stock Master File, Promo tab.

Item Code - Part number for the promotion.

Description - The description of the part.

Type - There are several promotional types to choose from:

Percentage or Price

2 for $X

Buy 1 get 1 Free

3 for $X

Get another item free

NOTE: The only option available to Parts & Workshop is Percentage or Price. The other options are available to people with the Service Station Module ONLY. ( 2 for X = Enter the Single Unit Promo Price that each part is reduced to OR the Promo % Discount off each single unit. 3 for X= Enter the Single Unit Promo Price that each part is reduced to OR the Promo % Discount off each single unit. Buy 1 Get 1 Free = Enter the code of the part they will get free along with the original selected part in the Free item Code field)

Promo Price - Enter the special promotion price.

Promo % Discount - If Promo Price is blank, a promotion discount can be entered here.

Note: only one or the other, Promo Price or Promo Discount % is used, you cannot use both.

Free Item Code - Select the free item code for the get another item free type.

Import Promotion CSV Area

File Type - Allows you to specify the type of file to be imported.

File Name- You can browse for the specific file to be imported here.

Run Import - Click this to start the import
