Autosoft has teamed up with Freelance Data Systems to bring to you a unique system that will streamline many areas of your operations. It is a web based system that seamlessly integrates to Autosoft5 meaning that you always have the latest Vehicle Details as well as up to date parts information & cataloguing.

The Parts Portal combined with your Autosoft 5 software delivers to you a comprehensive product we refer to as AIMS (Automotive Inventory Management System).
What makes up the parts portal?
The Parts Portal is largely made up of 3 distinct features:
- Vehicle Model Listing. (VML) Comprehensive list of vehicles.
- Parts Master List. (PML) Hundreds of thousands of parts covering a massive range of groups & brands.
- Electronic Catalogue. Pull up a vehicle and know exactly which part to choose.
- Job Builder. Build your own jobs with parts automatically allocated to them.
- Log Book Service Software. Log Book Servicing is coming very soon. Due for release in May 2011, this system will allow you to pull up a vehicle, see the service interval (service schedule), select a Log Book Service from the list and all parts and labour will be brought over to your invoice or quote saving you all the hassle and time.
Tell me about the Vehicle Model Listing?
In the Vehicle Model Listing are over 55,000 separate models manufactured between 1948 and 2010. This information is updated monthly with latest release models and their variants including body type, transmission & final drive options for example. The unique integration with Autosoft5 means you select a vehicle for a client once, then the system knows the vehicle details forever, meaning you can get to the important information for that vehicle, for example the catalogue, at the click of a button.
What’s this Parts Master List that was mentioned?
A formatted list of over 183,000 part numbers and growing every month. These include virtually all major groups and brands all put into a systemised group, price group & brand set-up. If you add a new product into the system, Autosoft5 will automatically check the PML, including tens of thousands of cross references, and if found, will automatically download the details of that product including, description, brand, group, barcode & product information. Imagine the time saving in entering in new parts! There is also a brand management system that allows you to see only those brands that you deal with (you can of course see all brands at the click of a button).
Electronic Catalogue?
Once you have selected a vehicle, click on the catalogue tab to see a list of parts that fit that have been catalogued to that vehicle. You can then choose that item and automatically add it to an invoice. Show your own brands or click “Show All” to see every brand on file.
Job Builder
The unique Job Builder allows you to set-up your own jobs. This is best explained by a simple example. Lets say you want to set-up a job to replace brake pads. Easily set this up in the job builder set-up area, then it is available for you to select on any vehicle in the VML. The job will show you the appropriate part for that vehicle. You can then easily the labour and part(s) onto the invoice at the click of one button. (Imagine the time saving for a complex job with lots of parts)
